About This Class
Get started with your travel art journal, a practice to creatively deepen your memories, slow down to see the world, and create joy.
We'll start with a quick overview of types of journaling and picking the right journal that work best for you, then dive right into the fun part. You’ll start by getting warmed up with doodling, stamping, experiment with drawing your own fonts, and ease into sketching in a way where you see connected shapes.
Then you will learn the basics of watercolor techniques and finish up by bringing together all you’ve learned into a piece of art for your journal.
Along the way, you will learn how to capture the moments through drawing maps, using ephemera, how to choose your art content, and anchoring your memories.
No experience needed, all materials provided. Come ready to play and leave with a little collection of watercolor sketches and new skills to start your journal practice.
You will take home a hard bound watercolor journal and a zip pouch filled with curated art supplies to get you started.
(These take home supplies are valued at $20)
